Blogmas, Book, Christmas, Tag

WWW Wednesday ~ 16th December 2020

The WWW tag runs weekly on Sam’s blog, each W stands for a different ‘What’ to summarise you’re last week in books.

WWW Wednesday

What are you currently reading?

My current reads are all for Very Merry Readathon, I’m hoping to complete all the prompts by the time it ends on Saturday so fingers crossed!

I’m hoping to wrap up The Christmasaurus today, I’ve not read any of Tom Fletcher’s writing before; mainly because its mostly for children but this was so lovely. I have a kindle copy but if we have children I’d definitely pick up a physical copy.

I’m listening to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy for the ‘Ghost of Christmas Present’ prompt, the audiobook is read by Stephen Fry and I’m really enjoying it.

I’ve read the first chapter of Murder on the Orient Express which is my ‘Ghost of Christmas Future’ read as its been sat on my shelf for ages.

What have you recently finished?

I managed to wrap up Christmas Days and A Boy Called Christmas before the readathon started, both quite different, both 4 stars. Christmas Days is one I can see myself retuning to next December.

Fantastic Mr Fox  and Another Night Before Christmas were both short readathon reads, both I’ve read before and both cosy-feeling favourites.

What will you read next?

I need to start A Christmas Carol fairly soon as this is the group book and my last read for Very Merry Readathon.

After that I still have a few more festive books to read this month , A Literary Christmas: An Anthology and Twas the Nightshift Before Christmas, which I’m hoping to get the audiobook of via my library. After all that I’ll probably also need some non-fiction to level things out.
