Book, Tag

WWW Wednesday ~ 25th November 2020

The WWW tag runs weekly on Sam’s blog, each W stands for a different ‘What’ to summarise you’re last week in books.

WWW Wednesday

What are you currently reading?

I’m listening to Summerwater on audiobook and I’m really enjoying it; the book moves moves between different families all staying on the same holiday park in Scotland with each chapter focusing on my member of each family, now I’m in the second half of the book we’re returning to the same families to hear from a different perspective.

Deciding to tackle my pile of unread Reposed books I started Love and Other Thought Experiments at the weekend but my main focus for the rest of the week is finishing Names for the Sea as I don’t want to drag this one out into December.

What have you recently finished?

This weekend I had a little finishing spree to try and prevent myself falling into a little reading slump, starting off by finishing Daughters of Night* Saturday morning

Following that I read Zikora from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie which is a short story available via Prime Reading.

I’d been listing to Notes on a Nervous Planet on audiobook so wrapped that up whilst on a shot run.

Finally I picked up Will I Ever Pee Alone Again? which is a poetry book by YouTuber Emma Conway all around motherhood which I enjoyed but envisage I’ll enjoy all the more in a few years when the topic might be slightly more relevant – for now (as someone who doesn’t have children yet_ this just terrified me.

What will you read next?

I can’t believe its December next week and I can’t wait to start some more festive themed reads. I’ve got a TBR post going up next week but right now I’m not sure where I’ll start.
