The WWW tag runs weekly on Sam’s blog, each W stands for a different ‘What’ to summarise you’re last week in books.

What are you currently reading?
Its been the first week of One at a Time October, so far so good although I keep getting the urge to start new things which I’m fighting against.
I’m not counting Believe Me as part of my One at a Time October challenge as this is an audiobook I’m listening to with my husband, we’re now about half way through thanks to a longer car journey.
On Saturday I started When The Lights Go Out, this follows one family near Christmastime. Chris is a landscaper who’s work is suffering due to the weather, in his newly found spare time he’s trying to pull his family into being as self-sufficient as possible and preparing for a time when the power will fail and they’ll need to rely on his stash of beans and rice kept in the garage. Chris’ wife Emma feels her protesting days are behind her and longs for quiet time in her sewing room.
What have you recently finished?
I finally completed The Guilty Feminist, I enjoyed giving this some dedicated time last weekend as it was the only book I was reading. I did have to find out my reading light which I’ve not used in years so I could read from the passenger seat on a long journey which was easier than I thought it would be and luckily wasn’t distracting for my husband who was driving.
What will you read next?
Last week I mentioned Names for the Sea and changed my mind when it actually came to picking a new book. This week I’m going to say it’ll be this or Deep Fakes* I’m likely to pick up next, although Failosophy landed through my letterbox last week and I’m quite keen to start that as well.
When the Lights Go Out sounds like the perfect book for me. I have a healthy stockpile we call Little Sam’s Club. I don’t do much shopping during the winter cuz I hate the cold. Adding it to my TBR list. Here’s my WWW https://bargainsleuth2010.wordpress.com/2020/10/07/www-wednesday-october-seventh/

A winter stockpile sounds sensible – the characters in this book are taking it a little bit more extreme!
