Book, Tag

WWW Wednesday ~ 23rd September 2020

The WWW tag runs weekly on Sam’s blog, each W stands for a different ‘What’ to summarise you’re last week in books.

WWW Wednesday

What are you currently reading?

This week’s main aim is to get on top of the number of books I’m reading, last week I was on 6 which was becoming a bit unmanageable. I’m now down to four which is slightly easier.

My current kindle reads is Just Between Friends* which I started at the weekend, I’m really enjoying this so far. Lucy and Aisha are first time expectant mothers who meet at a baby group and quickly become friends.

My husband and I are listening to Believe Me on audiobook when we’re in the car so that’ll be hanging around for a while.

I’m reading The Mothers but hope to have this finished this week then I’m promising myself I’ll pick The Guilty Feminist back up!

What have you recently finished?

At the weekend I completed, Before the Coffee Gets Cold which is the first book in the series about the time travelling café, I read the sequel last month (because logic) so enjoyed getting more of the back story on the rules and the café staff in particular.

On Monday I finished listening to I Am Not Your Baby Mother, I was unsure whether to read or listen to this but its read really well but the author Candice Brathwaite so I’m really glad I went with the audio.

Yesterday I finished The Coffer Dams which was something completely different for me, I have a review coming up in a couple of weeks which is part of a Random Things blog tour.

What will you read next?

Again – making a conscious decision to not put any titles in this section, my main aim for the next week is to finish my current reads and start October with a much less intimidating list of in progress books!
