The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s prompt was submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer
Have you ever read a book that was suggested by another blogger?
Yes! I’m always adding new books to my TBR/wish list/library reservations when I’m reading other people’s blog posts. This is probably one of my favourite things about blogging is coming across so many different book recommendations that I might have otherwise not heard about.
My most recent read which I came across via a blog was Such a Fun Age which I joined my library reservation queue for back in January after reading Jen’s review over at Books on the 7:47; I finally got my hands on it a couple of weeks ago my own review will be up this weekend (spoilers I really enjoyed the book!).
What has been your favourite book that you first saw on a blog? Have you ever picked up a book because of a blog post and then disliked it?
This is so lovely to read – thank you! So glad you enjoyed the book too 😃

I don’t know that I ever disliked a book I’ve picked up based on a recommendation from a fellow book blogger. Now, I can’t say that is true about reviews posted on Amazon and other retail sites, but I have my theories about that.

I’m not a huge YA reader and haven’t read a book a blogger has recommended yet. However I do want to start doing it, so this weeks prompt is a timely reminder!
