Book, Tag

WWW Wednesday ~ 8th July 2020

The WWW tag runs weekly on Sam’s blog, each W stands for a different ‘What’ to summarise you’re last week in books.

WWW Wednesday

This week I’m taking part in Galleyathon so my current and next reads are all eARCs I’ve received via Netgalley.

What are you currently reading?

Currently I’m reading White Fragility and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, I’m planning on making my way through the Narnia series one book a month for the rest of the year and so far its making me feel so nostalgic! I’m also making my way slowly through In Stitches, this is snippets from a UK A&E doctor which I’m really enjoying but the short, disconnected stories make it easy to dip in and out of.

What have you recently finished?

Over the weekend we got to visit my family which meant I got to do some reading in the car, sounds silly but I’ve really missed using my time in a passenger seat to get really into whatever I’m reading! This weekend I was reading The Shelf*, which sees main character Amy dumped by boyfriend Jamie and handed over a a new reality TV show with a handful of other unsuspecting women – this is out on Thursday and my full review will be up then too.

What will you read next?

We’re actually going away next week for a few days by the Yorkshire coast so I’m trying to plan my holiday reading, at the moment I’m thinking of taking The Language of Birds which I got in my latest Reposed box and also Spring* which is part of the seasonal quartet by Ali Smith.

  1. I love your idea of working through Narnia! I need to do that. It’s been so long that I don’t remember any of the books except the first one now, and I’ve really been wanting to do a re-read of the series. Hope you enjoy your holiday! Happy reading.

    Here’s my WWW post.
