The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s prompt was submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews
When you run out of bookshelf space, what do you do?
In the short term I double stack books, I don’t like the way this looks but needs must when there’s no more room.
Generally I’m quite good at donating/passing physical books on once I’ve read them, what that does mean is that somewhere else in my house there is usually a bag/pile of books waiting to be taken somewhere else.
I am reaching a point where the books I don’t want to give away are now taking up more than half of my shelves so I am considering buying a bigger bookcase as our current one is quite short since when we bought it our landlord at the time didn’t allow us to fix things to walls. Now we own our house I’d love to get a lovely full length bookshelf but that can wait for now until we can get out shopping to find one.
How do you keep your books? Are you a hoarder or do you have a one-in one-out poilcy?
