The WWW tag runs weekly on Sam’s blog, each W stands for a different ‘What’ to summarise you’re last week in books.
This week I’m taking part in Galleyathon so my current and next reads are all eARCs I’ve received via Netgalley.
What are you currently reading?
I’ve started the readathon with Just Saying* and Snake*, Just Saying is a contemporary fiction whereas Snake is a non-fiction unsurprisingly about snakes. I’m hoping to finish Just Saying later today; overall its been an enjoyable fast paced read. Snake on the other hand I can only read with both feet off the floor.
I’m still reading a chapter a day of The Good Immigrant and would really recommend this as it includes so many different voices.
What have you recently finished?
I finished listening to The Starless Sea on Monday, I gave it four stars and I’m still working out how I feel about it. It definitely didn’t steal a spot on my favourites list like The Night Circus but I did find myself get quite engrossed in the twists and turns.
Over the weekend I also read The Wives*, a thriller following Thursday who is one of Seth’s three wives. When we meet Thursday the arrangement she and Seth have is that his over wives remain anonymous and she knows them only by Monday and Tuesday but when Monday falls pregnant and Thursday finds a medical bill with her actual name on things start to spiral out of control, I’ll be posting a full review soon.
What will you read next?
I’m really excited to get to Olive* as part of this readathon as its one of my most anticipated books of the year then if I get time I’ll move onto Daughters of Night* which is a historical fiction out early next year.
