The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s prompt was submitted by Leelynn @ Sometimes Leelynn Reads
What is a book that has helped you get through your lowest point in life?
Something I reach for over and over again is the Harry Potter series, I had a set of books 1-3 when I was younger that I just used to read on a loop so I find them to be such a big comfort.
I find myself going back to this series time and again, either when I’m feeling a bit down or a bit nostalgic and have taken part in a couple of the HP Readathons which tend to run over the summer. I’m actually planning on reading The Philosopher’s Stone next weekend for the Stay Home Reading Rush to cover the prompts of somewhere you wish you could go and a book that will make you smile.
Looking forward to seeing everyone’s posts on this, what are you comfort books?
Wow, Harry Potter has touched so many lives it’s inspiring! The OWL Readathon is also a popular one going on this month if you’re interested 🙂
