Book, Tag

WWW Wednesday ~ 8th April 2020

The WWW tag runs weekly on Sam’s blog, each W stands for a different ‘What’ to summarise you’re last week in books.

WWW Wednesday

I hope everyone is well! This month I’m taking part in the Magical Readathon so pretty much all of the books I mention below are related to the prompts for the OWLs

What are you currently reading?
I’m reading two non-fiction books at the moment which is kind of unusual, on audio I’m listening to Invisible Women which looks at the data gaps and bias women face, often without even realising and Is Butter a Carb? a myth-busting guide to nutrition from the people behind The Rooted Project.  I’m also reading The Switch, which was one of my most-anticipated books going into 2020, I’m really enjoying it so far, we’re following a grandmother/daughter as they switch lives to try and get their sparks back.

What have you recently finished?
At the weekend I read Mrs Dalloway, a classic I’ve been meaning to read for ages; initially, I found it a bit confusing as it flows from character to character throughout the day without any chapters etc but once I was through the first quarter or so quite enjoyed it – if anyone knows of a good TV adaptation please let me know. I also finished Fierce Fairytales, a collection of poems and quite-short short stories (more like flash fiction).

What will you read next?
I quite enjoyed focusing on a smaller book to read in a weekend, this weekend I’m going to aim to read and finish The Little Snake which I got in my last Reposed box.
