This post runs weekly on Sam’s blog but I’m using it as a mid-month check in.
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently listening to Period. It’s About Bloody Time on audiobook and reading Big Girl, Small Town ahead of its release next month, I’m really enjoying both of these. I’m also just finishing Uprooted which I started around Christmas and unfortunately haven’t loved so much.
What have you recently finished?
In the last week I’ve finished The Bookshop Book, which is as the name suggests, a book about bookshops – there’ll be a full review up soon but I think this is a must for any book lover. I also finished listening to Everything I Know About Love, which is a re-listen of a previous five star read; this is a memoir and read by the author which really brightened my commute for a few days.
What will you read next?
Next up on my list is How to Fail and Death on the Page, a murder mystery based in a New York bookshop, which having just booked our first trip to New York for later this year I’m quite excited to get to.
Have you read any of these? Do you carry on with books you’re not enjoying or just put them to one side? Do you have any good recommendations for books based in New York?
