I’ve been looking forward to September for about a year, mainly because we’re going on holiday! I’m scheduling this post for 1st September about a week in advance because if you’re reading this when it’s posted then I got married yesterday and am hopefully still caught up in the whirlwind. Also, how exciting that this is my last bigger TBR before the Christmas season. Anyway here are some of the titles I’m planning on picking up between now and the end of November.
The Confession* ~Jessie Burton’s latest novel is due to be released on 24th September and I was very excited to get access to an early copy via Netgalley, expect a full review of this up soon.
The Night Watch ~ After a couple of months off I’m hoping to join back in with the Lauren and the books September book club read which this month was between two Sarah Waters novels, having not read anything from the author before I didn’t really mind which won the poll but this one did get my vote. Fingers crossed I discover a new favourite author.
The Tattooist of Auschwitz ~ I’m taking this happy sounding book on holiday with me, I’ve heard great things so I’ve been saving it for a when I’m hopefully going to have more larger chunks of time to dedicate to it.
Girl Up ~ I’m on a mission to catch up with Laura Bates books, as I found myself about a month ago owning three Laura Bates books that were all unread; in August I started my way through them with Everyday Sexism so I’m aiming to continue chronologically and pick up this over the next couple of months.
Daisy Jones & The Six ~ This book was everywhere a couple of months ago so when I saw it for 99p on kindle I nabbed it; I think I’m mostly intrigued by the interview style this is meant to be written in.
What If Its Us ~ Having enjoyed the three Becky Albertalli books I read last year and I’m interested to see how her writing works as a duo.
Autumn ~ Quite late to the Ali Smith bandwagon but I wanted to save this one until it was seasonably appropriate.
The Guilty Feminist ~ One I pre-ordered and started reading last November, I’m not even sure why I put this down, I think I got a flurry of library reservations that I could only have for a limited time but I’d like to give it the attention it deserves a year later.
