First off; Happy New Year! I hope you got to celebrate in the way you wanted to and if you’ve set yourself any goals or resolutions then best of luck.
I’ve got a very cliched list of aims for this year which include the usual, eat better, excise more, spend less etc etc; but in terms of books, I’ve set my Goodreads reading goal at 70 books. Higher than last year but still quite a bit lower than the 110 I managed in 2017, partly in the hope I’ll find something a bit more outdoorsy to fill my time.
Deception – I’m partway through another of Roald Dahl’s short story collections, and I think so far I’m enjoying this one slightly more than the last.
City of Bones – During 2016’s “12 days of Kindle Sale” I picked up about 8 Cassandra Clare books, after a bit of online research I’m so confused as to where to start with the multiple series so I’m going out on a limb and starting here.
Me Before You – This has been on my list for what feels like forever, and I’ve successfully avoided the film thus far, definitely what to see what the fuss is about but definitely want to get to the book first.
Northern Lights – I was slightly chastised over Christmas for never having read this series, so I quickly put in a library reservation that’s just come through.
Anansi Boys – This is a bit of a maybe, this is the RFP Goodreads Group Fiction pick for January but it’ll depend on when my library reservation comes through and how much spare time I get.
I am Malala – Throwing a non-fiction into the mix, I want to try and have at least one non-fiction on my TBR each month.
