I’m so excited that October is finally here because October is holiday time and while I’m super excited to not be at work and be in the sunshine while the weather back home turns colder and greyer this also means lots of time to read! However, I’m keeping my TBR limited* so that I can just go with whatever takes my fancy at the time.
The Universe vs Alex Woods – This is both something I’ve had on my kindle for ages and will complete my A-Z reading challenge
The Cuckoo’s Calling – I only got a couple of chapters into this during September, so hoping to dedicate a bit more time to it this month.
Alias Grace – After reading/watching (in my opinion) The Handmaid’s Tale the wrong way around I want to get to Alias Grace before Netflix release the series (I’m assuming it’s a series, not a film) in November
Mad Girl – I got a copy of Bryony Gordon’s second book in a book swap last month and I’ve been saving this for my holiday
One Dark Throne – I loved Three Dark Crowns when I read it last month so when I realised the sequel in what I think is a duology had been released at the end of September I jumped on straight on Amazon.
Beta – Throwing a bit of non-fiction into the mix, this focuses on Alpha/Beta personalities and how in particular Beta women in the workplace, currently out of the two I would categorise myself as a Beta personality so really interested to read this particularly to see if I still agree with that afterwards.
Madness – I’ve been wanting to read some of Roald Dahl’s adult work for ages so when Amazon reduced 6 of them to 99p I’ll be honest I bought all 6… picking one at random and deciding to start with Madness.
*I wrote the intro to this before I realised I have a fairly substantial list and I now take back that sentence back.
