I’m late to the party with this one, and I’m sorry.
I first heard about The Night Circus in a Tanya Burr haul, back when my youtube life was mainly beauty oriented, it sounded interesting and at somepoint I bought it on kindle. Fast forward to a few months ago when I started watching booktube videos and it was clear that this book was pretty popular, so popular that I was almost scared to read it incase I didn’t like it!
Despite all the hype and all the good things I’d heard I still had no idea what the plot was, I was guessing there was going to be a circus that operated at night but that was pretty much it. From the end of chapter two I was hooked (chapter one is quite short) I didn’t want to put it down but I also didn’t want it to end.
Since I enjoyed the book so much with literally no knowledge of the plot I don’t even want to attempt a spoiler free summary, essentially the book is centred around a circus which opens from dusk til dawn – that’s all your getting.
I can’t really think of any aspect I disliked, the world, the characters, the descriptions, the plot; I don’t think I’d change anything about any of them. Just read it if you haven’t already.
I can defiantly see myself re-reading this which is quite rare for me at the moment, I’ve already bought a copy to be passed around my family (downside of buying a kindle) because I just want as many people as possible to get to read this. Not much of a shock but I gave this a 5/5 stars on goodreads and its defiantly the best book I’ve read in a long time.
